Horizon Engineering Training School

The Horizon Engineering Training School is Northern Ireland’s first facility for High and Low Voltage systems training as well as Mechanical Competency training. For the first time, engineers with the necessary aptitude and qualifications can undertake training to further their electrical engineering and mechanical engineering careers by maintaining their competence right here in Belfast.

Horizon Electrical Training School

Operating HV switchgear can be a potentially dangerous activity, and it’s vital that only competent and confident engineers carry out HV switching operations.

At the Horizon Electrical Training School, we understand the importance of keeping HV switchgear knowledge current through regular practice and development of skills in a safe environment.

Maintaining competence is a key requirement of the Electricity at Work Regulations, and we help organisations to support their engineers by providing appropriate initial training as well as refresher training at regular intervals. Above all, we instil the planning, professional discipline and routine associated with an HV switching operation to ensure engineers can carry out their work safely.

John Lorimer, FCS Services Ltd – Low Voltage Competent Persons course.

I’ve been in the electrical industry since 1998 with a good knowledge of electrical systems ✅. That ticks one box (Experience)
Now carrying out NETS® (Non-invasive Electrical Testing Solutions) I find myself being asked to prove qualifications AND competence.
So I decided to bolster my CPD with this accredited training from Horizon Engineering Solutions Ltd.
The facilities at Horizon Training are excellent, a great addition to NI 👏👏.

Michael Francis, Contour Global – High Voltage Power Systems Operations course.

Thanks to you all for your various inputs in making this week’s course so worthwhile & enjoyable.

Thomas Kelly, Contour Global.

Thanks Horizon Engineering Solutions Ltd for the excellent Management Awareness in Electrical Safety course this week. Recommend for any business leaders, with industrial electrical equipment.

Sandra Overend, Henry Brothers – Management Awareness in Electrical Safety

“We were very happy to work with Michael and Horizon Engineering, who delivered a bespoke training course in Management Awareness in Electrical Safety for a number of key personnel at Henry Brothers right across our UK sites. The feedback was very positive from all quarters describing the training as thorough and enlightening, with the content being ideal for our industry, creating a good understanding of the things that we will encounter, and with detailed course materials to take away.”
