Compliance and Resilience
Anyone working on or managing low voltage electrical systems in healthcare environments, where technical knowledge or experience is necessary to prevent danger or injury, must possess the required competence or work under suitable supervision.
It is an Absolute Duty under Regulation 16 of the Electricity at Work Regulations that persons must be competent to prevent danger and injury.
Compliance with the Health Technical Memorandums (HTMs) is vital in clinical settings, not only to ensure the safety of people completing works on low voltage systems, but also to protect patient well-being. This City & Guilds Assured course delivers the necessary Safety, Legal, Technical, Operational, and Procedural training for those seeking appointment as a “Low Voltage Authorised Person” in accordance with HTM 06-02: Electrical Safety.
